The EIT Health Investor Network connects start-ups seeking financial backing – from seed funding to series A investment – with a variety of investors, including private equity.

EIT Health’s involvement helps to leverage investment by creating a close-knit network of healthcare investors who know and trust one another, and who share the same ambition of bringing smart money to innovative European start-ups. The network is the first of its kind in Europe to offer a continuum of investment, making it possible to bring in investors at different stages of a start-ups’ growth.

Is it for me?

The programme targets innovative European healthcare start-ups seeking early-stage private equity funding of anywhere from €500,000 to €10 million. Start-ups should be registered and at least be at the early “seed stage” of investment, with a significant level of funds already raised.

How it works

Start-ups that are approved for cooperation in the network sign an agreement then upload their documents for review by the selected investors, who will contact start-ups that interest them. Start-ups may be invited to pitch via WebEx or in person before proceeding with individual negotiations.
